“TIPS” was the first music video I ever edited. It was also the first project in my professional relationship with the artist who I would later come to manage.

Most of the footage was shot on an Iphone during a ski-trip we had organised with the artist while he was on the run from authorities in the Netherlands. When he got arrested there was no other footage to use and the main challenge was establishing some sort of narrative and pacing to turn the skiing footage into an actual music video which fit the serious and emotional nature of the track. This was achieved with footage of his performance at our our party in Cafe Struik and recording “flashback” scenes reenacting the experiences talked about in the song itself.

The video has reached 111000 views at the time of writing.
